Solo exhibition of work by David Rhys Jones at the Box Gallery. The exhibition Space is owned by Chris and Sqaah Dyson.

The work is shown in a series of four large windows - 24 hour display visible at street level.

David Rhys Jones trained at Central Saint Martins and has exhibitied widely, including the V&A Museum, The Royal Academy of Arts, and the Courtauld Institute.

This exhibition is his creative response to the immediate area around the gallery.

Informed by journeys or site-specific locations, the work draws inspiration form Charles Baudelaire's concept of the 'flâneur', as a detached observer of the modern metropolis.

'He, the lover of life, may also be comapred to a mirror as vast as this crwod: to a kadeiloscope endowed with consciousness, which with every one of its movements presents a pattern of life, in all its multiplicity, and the flowing grace of all the lements that go to compose life.'

Charles Baudelaire (1861)

As well as recording a personal journey, this work provides a social documentary - recording the mix of the architecture and cultures and the way they co-exist in an ever changing worlds.
